1.) What is the reason you’re taking supplements?

I take supplements because as an athlete there is a very high demand for proper nutrition. I try to source as many micro nutrients from real natural food as possible, but unfortunately even the best organic foods lack a high mineral profile do to the soil content. With out proper nutrition, all the hard work from training means nothing. Gym time is easy. It’s what we do to fuel ourselves that is the real work. In addition to proper nutrition, I take supplements (natural) to insure a health function immune system. At the end of the day exercise is just exercise, outer health, well being, and quality of life are of the upmost importance.

2.) What are the current supplements you’re taking?
AM- Slice of life vitamin D3 sugar free gummie, biotin, driven max adrenal, source naturals DIM, Bragg organic apple cider vinegar, dynamic health turmeric gold

PM – Vitamin shoppe brand magnesium citrate,   VS brand zinc, VS brand taurine, sovereign silver (as needed), about time melatonin gummies

– I use about time vegan protein powder
-all pre workouts are coffee
-And I use ergogenix BCAAs

3.) What’s the most recent supplement you’ve recently added? Why? Have you noticed a difference since you added it?

Most recent supplement I’ve added was Intex evolution detox formula. I came across it while on prep for a figure show. I really liked how it kept me “regular” especially with constant dietary changes. On top of that it also helped to keep bloating down, which in return meant it was helping to regulate sodium levels. I’ve kept it in my diet and depending on how things are “moving” I will take 1-3 pills either am OR pm. I usually wind up taking 2 in the PM to stay on track.

4.) Are there any supplements that you used to take but you stopped? Why did you remove it? Did you notice an improvement after removing it?

Yes. I use to take extreme caffeine pills. Although they helped me power thru my days I could really feel how they were racing and draining my adrenals after a few weeks of use. Now that it’s out of my system I respond even better to just a cup of coffee.

I also stopped taking chondroitin glucosamine. I never really felt I needed it since I very rarely have any type of joint pain but was always told it was good for you and needed. I haven’t felt a difference on or off it except now I don’t spend $25 a month on it.

5.) What’s the most unexpected or surprising or least-common supplement you’re currently taking? Why are you taking this one?

I would say sovereign silver and oil of oregano. These 2 supplements are a power house for combating viruses, colds, germs, and anything that could hinder your training! They are natural and on the pricey side, but they spare your body from having to process chemicals and build tolerances when taking over the counter medications.
