Q. What is the reason you’re taking supplements?

I only supplement that in which I cannot get naturally.  I truly believe that you should first look to organic food and consistent meal planning to meet your needs first.  Then depending on your schedule and preferences “supplement” what is difficult for you to get.

Q. What are the current supplements you’re taking?

I take a multivitamin, glucosamine (sucks getting old), and whey protein post workouts.

Q. What’s the most recent supplement you’ve recently added? Why? Have you noticed a difference since you added it?

The glucosamine.  I added post knee surgery and have found that it has helped with basic aches and pains.

Q. Are there any supplements that you used to take but you stopped? Why did you remove it? Did you notice an improvement after removing it?

I have tried numerous things in the past as an athlete, but mostly always looking for a competitive edge.  Once I matured I realized that was lazy naïve approach.  Being disciplined with meal planning and prep should provide you with what you need.

Q. What’s the most unexpected or surprising or least-common supplement you’re currently taking? Why are you taking this one?

I wouldn’t say I have a surprising or least common supplement.  I try things as they come my way simply so that I can speak intelligently about the products with my athletes.
